Everyone should have a bucket list of things that you’d love to do in your life, even if they seem “impossible.” You will look back on your list from time-to-time and remind yourself of things you’ve always wanted.
For me, I created my bucket list many years ago. It was meant to be added onto, but I haven’t done that. These were things I knew I wanted in my life, whether they were to actually happen for me or not.
Finding my list for this challenge was kind of bittersweet, honestly. The paper is flimsy, torn, stained, and fragile, but it holds so much meaning to me. The thought of re-writing my bucket list brings out emotions, but so much has changed since I wrote this.
Here is my bucket list in the order I wrote it:
- Go to college
- Get accepted into medical school
- Help with the WWP (Wounded Warrior Project)
- Witness a miracle
- Go to Disneyland
- Travel to every U.S. State
- Learn to speak German, and visit Germany
- Vacation in Australia, and see the animals
- Own a monkey
- Buy/build a home
- Own a Mustang GT
- Have a traditional wedding
- Quit smoking — for good
- Become an RN, CV surgeon, or pediatric surgeon
- Be happy/confident in my own skin
- Go skydiving
- Race
- Learn to drive a 5-speed
- Swim with dolphins and whales
- Save a life
- Name a star
- Catch a last minute fly to a random destination
- Visit the Grand Canyon
- Meet Betty White and Robin Williams
- Meet a Holocaust survivor
- Visit a Holocaust museum
- Grow old with my best friend/soulmate
- Learn to play the guitar and/or piano
- Go scuba diving
- Climb to the top of the Statue of Liberty
- Change someone’s life
- Attend a Three Days Grace and Rascal Flatts concert
- Lay in the bed of a truck and star gaze
- Do something spontaneous/random and out of my comfort zone
- Overcome my depression — once and for all
- Take a tour of the OTH (One Tree Hill) set
- Raise my son to be as good of a man as Papa
- Get in the car and just drive — no plans
- Meet someone who cares for me (equally) as I do for them
- Write my own vows
- Sing something meaningful in front of/to someone I love
- Complete 50%+ of my bucket list
- Explore NYC
- Move to California
- Try something new
- Watch every Jennifer Aniston movie/show in order
- Attend a country music festival
- Get more tattoos
- Accomplish something I’m proud of
- Learn to truly accept myself; flaws and all
As you can tell, I clearly haven’t worked too hard and crossing things off. However, since so much has changed since I originally made this list, I will probably start a new one that, for me, is more realistic, but still a list of things I truly want to do before the end of my time.
What is on your bucket list? Feel free to share your list in the comments, or even a few of your favorites.
Day 3 coming soon.

I don’t have a bucket list but this blog might have inspired me to make one! I love yours though and can’t wait to fulfill some of them with you!!

I absolutely love bucket lists, that’s one of the ways I keep myself motivated. And I don’t stress about not crossing things off, we grow and change and our priorities change along the way too, best of luck with your list 😀
