Get To Know Me

Hello, and welcome to The Dani Chronicles. It’s a pleasure to have you here, and I’m very intrigued to get to know you more.

My name is Danielle. I’m a 24 year old Gemini who loves to talk way too much, and enjoys the company of my family and fur babies. For as long as I can remember, writing/journaling has been my go-to. Whether I’m extremely happy and everything in my life is “going right,” or my world is falling apart around me and I’m struggling to express myself — it has always been my outlet.

As you will soon learn, I struggle with mental illness. I’ve been diagnosed with MDD (major depressive disorder), anxiety, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and BPD (borderline personality disorder). I’m very open about my struggles, and hope to help others be able to do the same.

My hobbies include blogging (duh!), makeup, Netflix, family-time, photography, coffee, and lounging around in pajama’s. I’m your basic home-body, and have no shame.

Aiden is my 6 year old son, whom I’ll often refer to as my Sunshine. For years, my Mom would sing “You Are My Sunshine” to me, and I did the same for my son. He is my greatest weakness, and has saved my life in many ways, countless times. His smile and cuddles can always change my mood. I’m the luckiest Mama on Earth to be all his.

Austin is the love of my life, and one of the best things to happen to me. You’ll, also, see me refer to him as my Sunrise. There’s a song that got me through some of the darkest times in my life — “Sunrise” by Our Last Night — and it quotes, “You can make it to the Sunrise.” As someone who battles with depression, it truly was something I held on to and hoped for, everyday. When I met Austin, everything about him was different from everything I’d known before him. He truly is the light to my darkness, and I’m eternally grateful for his love.

Although my blog will be a lot about mental health and my journey (past and present), it is more-or-less my voice in this world. My thoughts, my feelings/opinion, my experiences, and so much more.

I’d be honored to have you along for the adventure ahead of us, whether it be the joys and/or struggles of parenthood, family trips, makeup tips/looks, emotional venting, co-parenting, adult friendships, relationship “goals,” or whatever else may come along.

Feel free to reach out to me on social media (on my home page), or through my contact page. I’d love to hear your stories, get to know you, and take you with me on this beautiful journey I fight for every single day.
